As part of strengthening international judicial relations, His Excellency Judge Khalid bin Ali Al Obaidli, President of the Investment and Trade Court, participated in a number of high-level judicial and legal events hosted by the city of Hong Kong. This official participation aimed to support judicial cooperation and promote the exchange of expertise with international judicial institutions.
At the forefront of this participation was His Excellency’s attendance at the Opening of the Legal Year Ceremony in Hong Kong for 2026, hosted by the Hong Kong Judiciary and attended by the Chief Justice of the Court of Final Appeal, senior judges, heads of judicial bodies and institutions, as well as a number of legal figures from within Hong Kong and abroad. The annual ceremony embodies the principles of judicial independence and the rule of law.
His Excellency Judge Khalid bin Ali Al Obaidli, accompanied by a number of judges and administrative officials from the Investment and Trade Court, also took part in several meetings and official visits related to judicial affairs. These engagements provided an opportunity to review leading judicial experiences and best institutional practices, contributing to the enhancement of judicial cooperation at the international level.
This participation reflects the Investment and Trade Court’s commitment to strengthening its presence in international judicial forums, expanding areas of institutional cooperation, and supporting efforts to develop the justice system and enhance the investment environment in accordance with globally recognized best standards and practices.
