The Investment and Trade Court welcomed a group of children from the Orphan Care Center (Dreima) as part of the “Little Lawyer” program. This visit comes within the framework of the Court’s role in supporting community-oriented awareness initiatives and introducing children to the nature of judicial work in a simplified manner appropriate to their age.
The visit included the children’s attendance at a judgment pronouncement session in one of the cases, with the aim of familiarizing them with litigation procedures and the conduct of court sessions. The program also featured an introductory tour of the Court’s facilities, during which the jurisdiction of the Investment and Trade Court and the judicial services it provides were explained, contributing to enhancing the children’s understanding of the concept of justice and the importance of respecting the law.
His Excellency Judge Khalid bin Ali Al Obaidli, President of the Investment and Trade Court, affirmed that welcoming such visits reflects the Court’s commitment to its community role and its keenness to contribute to spreading legal awareness. He emphasized the importance of engaging children from various backgrounds, including children from orphan care centers, in awareness programs that help broaden their perspectives and strengthen their self-confidence.
His Excellency added that the Investment and Trade Court views social responsibility and community engagement as key pillars of its institutional approach. Through such initiatives, the Court seeks to bring judicial work closer to the community and strengthen community partnerships in a manner that achieves a positive and sustainable impact.
