His Excellency Judge Khalid bin Ali Al Obaidli, President of the Investment and Trade Court, headed the Supreme Judicial Council judges’ delegation during their participation in the conference “Mediation: The Future of Dispute Resolution,” hosted by the sisterly Sultanate of Oman with wide participation from specialists in mediation and dispute resolution.
The conference discussed key developments related to mediation and its role in enhancing justice and reducing the burden on courts, in addition to reviewing international experiences in developing alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.
In a statement on the sidelines of the conference, His Excellency stressed the importance of participating in such specialized legal events, noting the significant efforts undertaken by the Sultanate of Oman to advance its mediation system.
“Our participation in this conference strengthens the distinguished judicial relations with the sisterly Sultanate of Oman, and reflects our commitment to exploring the latest developments in mediation. The exchange of expertise helps elevate judicial efficiency and improve the quality of dispute resolution in the region.”
He added that the participation of judges from the Supreme Judicial Council reflects the Council’s commitment to keeping pace with modern legal developments and supporting initiatives that enhance justice and streamline dispute resolution through effective and expeditious means.
