His Excellency Judge Khalid bin Ali Al Obaidli, President of the Investment and Trade Court of the State of Qatar, accompanied by a Qatari judicial delegation, participated in the King Hamad Forum for Justice, held under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the Kingdom of Bahrain, from 5 to 6 November 2025. The forum was inaugurated alongside the International Commercial Courts Conference titled “The Future of International Commercial Courts: Towards Cross-Border Justice.”
The forum witnessed the participation of senior judicial officials and legal experts from across the region. During its sessions, participants reviewed key initiatives and best practices aimed at developing justice systems, strengthening the rule of law, and exchanging expertise in various judicial fields.
The sessions of the International Commercial Courts Conference covered multiple themes, including the development of international commercial judicial systems, strengthening cross-border cooperation between commercial courts, and showcasing best practices in the digital transformation of commercial justice — all contributing to improving judicial efficiency and expediting the resolution of commercial and investment disputes.
His Excellency Judge Khalid bin Ali Al Obaidli and the Qatari judicial delegation affirmed that their participation in the two events reflects Qatar’s commitment to supporting regional and international judicial cooperation, promoting the exchange of expertise and knowledge among justice institutions in the region and worldwide, and upholding the principles of justice and the rule of law. This, they noted, contributes to fostering an advanced legal and investment environment that strengthens confidence in judicial systems.
His Excellency further emphasized that such participation forms part of Qatar’s ongoing leadership in advancing international judicial cooperation and contributing to the formulation of future visions that enhance the effectiveness of justice regionally and globally — both in the general field of justice and within the commercial and investment sectors.
