The Investment and Trade Court participated in a workshop organized by the Investment Promotion Agency on Wednesday under the title "Dispute Resolution in Qatar", with the participation of representatives from the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, the Qatar International Court and Dispute Resolution Center. The workshop, which was held at the Marriott Marquis hotel, aimed to exchange experiences regarding the settlement of commercial disputes and arbitration and mediation in the State of Qatar. The Investment and Trade Court was represented by Judge Abdulrahman Ahmed Al Mansouri and a number of officials from the Investment and Trade Court. During the workshop, the court presented an introductory presentation about the Investment and Trade Court and its objectives, including the case management system that aims to expedite judicial procedures and prepare them before presenting them to the court panel for adjudication. The participants discussed a number of topics related to dispute resolution, including relevant laws and regulations, best international practices, and the role of government and private entities in dispute resolution. At the end of the workshop, the participants praised the efforts made by the Investment and Trade Court in settling commercial and investment disputes, expressing their aspiration to enhance cooperation with it in related fields.
