His Excellency Judge Khalid Ali Al Obaidli, President of the Investment and Trade Court, met on Tuesday morning with a few French trainee judges who are currently visiting the country to enhance judicial cooperation between the two countries.
The meeting was attended by several judges and officials in the Investment and Trade Court.
During the meeting, the role of commercial courts in resolving related disputes was discussed, as well as ways to enhance the exchange of experiences between the two countries, in addition to the most important challenges facing the judicial system and ways to confront them through international cooperation and continuous training.
His Excellency Judge Khaled Ali Al Obaidli stressed during the meeting the importance of these visits in consolidating the foundations of mutual judicial work and raising the level of experience among judges, which benefits the judicial system in both countries, confirming the important role of the Investment and Trade Court in accelerating the pace of resolving commercial disputes with all integrity and transparency.
The French delegation also witnessed an introductory presentation about the Investment and Trade Court, its competencies, and what it offers to keep up with the rapid growth witnessed by the business and investment sector in the country.

At the end of the visit, the delegation took a tour of the court corridors, where they learned about the halls and services provided by the Investment and Trade Court to the public and listened to an explanation about the nature of its work, its jurisdiction, and the modern technology it uses.
