His Excellency Judge Khalid Ali Al Obeidli, President of the Investment and Commerce Court, received Dr. Susan L. Karamanian, Dean of the College of Law at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), and a number of graduate students in law (JD) on Monday. The visit was part of the "Doctor of Law" program organized by the university. The Supreme Judicial Council published a series of tweets on its official Twitter account about the visit. During the visit, the delegation was briefed on the court's facilities and advanced services it provides to the public. An introductory presentation was also given about the Investment and Commerce Court, its competencies, and how it keeps pace with the rapid growth in the business sector to create an attractive environment for investors and develop national human resources. The Juris Doctor (JD) program is the first professional Juris Doctor program in the Middle East and North Africa, creating multi-skilled leaders who can manage multifaceted relationships that span different legal systems.
