The Investment and Trade Court signed a three-year agreement with the Singaporean company, Crimson Logic to develop a system for commercial case management and mediation in settling civil and commercial disputes.

The agreement aims to provide an integrated electronic system for managing commercial cases and a comprehensive platform for all judicial procedures related to courts and specialized units to ensure and achieve information sharing, data management and dealing with parties in case management through multiple channels in addition to facilitating the requirements for settling commercial disputes.

The new system will provide an advanced platform for the litigation of commercial cases compatible with the best international judicial practices. It will also include the usage of artificial intelligence systems in data analysis and implementing technologically advanced automated processes that ensure high quality and accuracy, facilitate follow-up and evaluation, and support the decision-making process.

The signing was in the presence of  His Excellency Judge Khalid Ali Al Obeidli, President of the Investment and Commerce Court, Judge Issa bin Ahmed Al-Nasr, Vice-President of the Court, and Mr. Jassim Al-Mohannadi, Assistant Undersecretary for Shared Services Affairs, while Mr. Loyoung Seng, Vice President of the Middle East, Africa, and Europe, signed on behalf of the “Crimson Logic” company.

It is noteworthy that this step came within the framework of the Supreme Judicial Council’s endeavor to develop electronic justice systems and keep abreast of legislative updates in the judicial system, which recently witnessed the issuance of the Investment and Trade Court Law No. (21) of 2021, and the Mediation Law in Settlement of Civil and Commercial Disputes No. (2) of 2021.
