The Investment and Trade Court hosted students of the eighth edition of the "My Career, My Future" program, organized by Qatar Career Development Center, as part of its commitment to supporting national initiatives aimed at preparing national talent, raising students' awareness of career paths, and connecting academic study with practical application.
The program opened with an introductory session that gave students a comprehensive overview of the Investment and Trade Court, its judicial jurisdiction, and its role in supporting the investment and commercial environment in the State of Qatar, alongside an introduction to the institutional and administrative framework that contributes to delivering prompt justice and enhancing the quality of judicial services.
The program included field tours inside the Court, during which students observed the flow of work, the responsibilities of the various departments, and the procedures followed in delivering services, giving them the opportunity to experience the working environment first-hand and to learn about the nature of judicial and administrative work, deepening their understanding of professional realities and enriching their practical knowledge.
Students also had the opportunity to meet a number of specialists in an open discussion on the nature of work at the Court and the skills and competencies required in the judicial sector, along with answers to their questions, broadening their horizons and strengthening their ability to chart their own future career paths.
The program featured a meeting with His Excellency Judge Khalid Ali Al-Obaidli, President of the Investment and Trade Court, who welcomed the students and underlined the importance of making the most of such opportunities to become familiar with working environments and to gain the practical experience that helps build their professional future.
In this context, His Excellency said:
"The Investment and Trade Court believes that real investment begins with investing in people, and that empowering young people and giving them the opportunity to see specialized working environments is a cornerstone of preparing a generation able to contribute to the national development journey. Through our participation in the 'My Career, My Future' program, we are keen to introduce students to the Court's mission and jurisdiction and to inspire them to explore the professional opportunities open to them, enhancing their readiness for the future and keeping pace with the State of Qatar's vision of building qualified and distinguished human capital."
The Investment and Trade Court's participation in the "My Career, My Future" program is an extension of its approach to strengthening its social responsibility and consolidating its partnership with the national institutions concerned with youth development, by providing a knowledge-based and practical environment that enables students to explore their professional interests, refine their skills, and enhance their readiness for the labour market, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.
